The mission of the Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts of America, is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. But what makes Cub Scouts truly unique is the opportunity it gives the entire family, parents, and siblings, to be involved in each child’s development.
Pack 100 consists of boys from ages five through eleven organized into Dens by grade level. During the school year, the Pack meets once a month at St. Pius X Catholic School. Each Den holds one or more meetings during the month at school, pack members' homes, and other locations. Additional Pack activities include campouts, the Pinewood Derby, Rain Gutter Regatta, Rocket Launch, and various summer gatherings.
Our Pack has dedicated leaders and volunteers, mainly consisting of parents, who are tasked with teaching Cub Scouts both fun and valuable lessons that will help them progress in the program and in life. Our Pack is always looking for additional parent volunteers to become engaged and assume leadership roles to achieve the mission of teaching our boys valuable life lessons.
The Pack has been an active member of the Southeast Louisiana Council of the Boy Scouts of America for over fifty years. Our Pack continues to be an active member of our community. Pack 100 welcomes students from all schools in the New Orleans metropolitan area. If you may be interested in joining, please contact Pack100NOLA@gmail.com.
