About our ministryWe assist the poor in our community with food, rent, and utilities. We don’t simply write checks - - we get to know our families, their needs, their hopes, and their difficulties. Members assess needs; help access other services; and determine if financial aid will be provided. We offer spiritual guidance, financial counsel, kindness, compassion, and prayers.
In 2019, we provided $120,000 in resources to approximately 250 families. In 2020, we gave $51,000 of food assistance in response to more than 325 calls for help. The generosity of parishioners enables us to help so many fellow New Orleanians.
